taiji fajin
Apparently McDojo's are starting a delivery service. Now you don't have to even leave your home to get horrible training! GhostlySykanRyu
Sickening... Wonder how many people are willing to fork up the big bucks (though we do spend more on training, it doesn't seem like a large amount over the years) in a lump sum for a belt and a handful of videos? Anyone know one of these "black belts"( )? To condemn the art of another is to condemn your own as well. We all have the same origin.
ravenzoom
Yes I have seen this site before. Surprisingly, it's Fred Villari, the founder of Shaolin Kenpo, and seems pretty legit as a martial artist. This is why I don't understand why he's doing this (obviously for the money - but I stille don't understand)
sk0t
I dont know about any of you...but the only time I have heard of Frank Villari is on TV, and I think a Black Belt Magazine had an ad for his videos in it one time. I think that all of these (tapes), that you can get your BB in 10 videos are helpful to some degree. I DO NOT believe that you can become a proficient MA by using videos to circumvent an actual school. To me it is an easy way to get to a hard place. sk0t"I shall not be judged by what style I know, but how I apply that style againsts yours..." greenbelt_girl15
You can learn some from videos, but earn your black belt?....I don't think so. MASIsshinryu
"Dear Master Villari, I have enclosed the requested photograph of me breaking the required 1" pine board. Per your instructions, I attempted to bake the board, but my toaster oven proved to be too small! As you can see from the darkened lines on the board, in the picture, I used my BBQ, instead. I have also included the still shots of me performing the "Super-Ultra-Scientific-Automatic-Kill" techniques that your video showed me. Please ignore the fact that I appear as an asian man in the board-break, and caucsian in the latter example. It was a problem with the lighting. Looking forward to my 35th degree Black Belt, Mr. Zippy" ... No, I don't see any problems with BB by distance learning... "Tomorrow's battle is won during today's practice."M.A.S.
