I recently downloaded a documentary from the National Geographic channel about the Shaolin temple and stuff. I haven't made it all the way through it yet, but so far it is really interesting.

Has anyone else seen this? if so, how accurate do you think it was?

If you have seen it, you should try to download it on your downloading machine.

thanks.

I have seen a special called budo, the martial way that was a national geographic show about different styles of martial arts and it had a section of stuff on the shaolin monks. It was really impressive. There was a six yr old monk in training that could squat down and grab a hold of his ankles and jump in the air to do a summersult and would land on his head and then bounce back on to his feet. It was amazing. They also had some cool spear demonstrations going on . One monk would take a double edged spear and place it point first into his throat while another monk at the other end of the spear would do the same. They both started to walk in a circle increasing their distance until they walked straight in at eachother and snapped the spear without punturing their throats. It came out a few yrs back but it was interesting to see all of the different arts be demonstrated. Maybe we seen the same one .I dunno.

Why punch someone when their on the ground when you can just kick them
