Bleeding Lion Posted March 12, 2005 Posted March 12, 2005 Im practicing go ju ryu under Shorei Shobu Kan Association. Is there any other go ju practitioner under that association here? We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence thus, is not an act, but a habit. --- Aristotle
Master Jules Posted March 12, 2005 Posted March 12, 2005 Yes.....its actually two different organizations though. The Shoreikan was founded by Seikichi Toguchi, and the Shobukan was founded by Masanobu Shinjo. Both are extremely top notch as far as Goju Ryu instruction goes. ~Master Jules......aka "The Sandman""I may be a trained killer......but Im really a nice guy"
Bleeding Lion Posted March 12, 2005 Author Posted March 12, 2005 Oh yes you are right, but im talking about shihan rosberry's organization. He named it this way because he studied under seikichi toguchi and had some kind of relationship with shinjo's organization. We are what we repeatedly do. Master Jules Posted March 12, 2005 Posted March 12, 2005 I think it was "Rosenberry", and I believe he was under the Shobukan. ~Master Jules......aka "The Sandman""I may be a trained killer......but Im really a nice guy"
Bleeding Lion Posted March 12, 2005 Author Posted March 12, 2005 im typing kind of fast: its shihan john ROSEBERRY. his dojo is in nebraska and is the headquarters of mine. toguchi was his teacher and shinjo his sempai. when he created his association he merged the two names (shorei kan and shobu kan). Thats the association im talking about. im just wondering who else is under this association. We are what we repeatedly do. Excellence thus, is not an act, but a habit. --- Aristotle

Master Jules Posted March 13, 2005 Posted March 13, 2005 I though it was something like that.....Shihan has been around for a LONG time......he really knows his stuff. I would have loved to have been able to go to that seminar. Good luck on your tests. ~Master Jules......aka "The Sandman""I may be a trained killer......but Im really a nice guy"
