isshinryu5toforever
most ninjitsu isn't worth it. Jiujitsu could be good, but without actually seeing what you look like, nobody can tell you what you're built for. Besides that, you have to pick something you like, not just something you believe yourself to be built for. Because you can always be wrong. He who knows others is wise. He who knows himself is enlightened.- Tao Te Ching"Move as swift as a wind, stay as silent as forest, attack as fierce as fire, undefeatable defense like a mountain."- Sun Tzu, the Art of War
The Lip
Or you could just train along with any martial art in your neighbourhood. Most gyms let you train once or twice for free. If you don't like it, you can always retreat. "Going on means going far, going far means returning"Tao Te Ching, China
mattyj
since your really tall 4 ur age... id go with something like muay thai, tkd or karate. the reach will help u warning with tkd and karate... make sure what ur learning is a properly affiliated organisation, not a "master bill's bill fu karate" or some 'Mcdojo' thing like that. fangshi
Find a great teacher . VERY important. Yes there must be interest in the style , does it have within it the elements that you wish to learn ? If you can find both then you will off to a great start . Good luck We are not so much individual beings as individual points of perception within one immense being. ShotokanKid
Look around and see what you like and what you think will benefit you. You might want to look into TKD or something similar but whatever works for you. "What we do in life, echoes in eternity.""We must all fear evil men. Guest
thanks for your help so far. isshinryu5toforever mentioned that jujitsu could be good. i already know that it consists of a variaty of throws punches and kicks and that judo was developed from it but was else does it involve. by the way i used to do judo a few years ago until the club closed down.
