kzshin Posted March 7, 2005 Posted March 7, 2005 Anybody here do Ninjustsu? I just want to know it is similiar to what Raven was doing in Tekken 5 I don't do Ninjustsu, however, Raven's moves do look similar to Bujikan and also those non-US production ninja movies that I have watched in the past. but just like what Jax_Evolution said, don't worry about how real it is, just enjoy the game. My favor characters are Asaka and Jin.
dingyuan Posted March 8, 2005 Author Posted March 8, 2005 I really love Raven's fighting style, can you really learn it from some where and are they really effective?
Pinmaster Posted March 8, 2005 Posted March 8, 2005 tekken needs a wrestler it will make tekken more complete. i m not talking about pro wrestler but a classical wrestler.
kzshin Posted March 8, 2005 Posted March 8, 2005 The closest thing to Raven's fighting style that you can learn is from Bujinkan, and yes, they are really effective. However, finding a decent place that teach such art outside of Japan can be difficult. wrestler??? I thought King is a wrestler. what you mean by classical wrestler??? by the way, King is resemblence of "Tiger Mask" a very famous pro wrestler in Japan.

I think he means those Greco-Roman wrestler, but these guys are not really suitable for a fighting game like Tekken neither are BJJ fighters.
Jbone1 Posted March 9, 2005 Posted March 9, 2005 Can someone give a link to some info on Bujinkan. "What's your style?""My style?""You can call it the art of fighting without fighting."
Marshall Hart Posted March 9, 2005 Posted March 9, 2005 Aside from King, Lei (who is in homage to Jackie Chan), and Law (who is an obvious homage to Bruce Lee), what are some other homages? BTW, the manual says Bryan uses kickboxing, but it is nothing like Bruce's. Are there differing forms of kickboxing?

Bruce fights the same as Sagat from Street Fighter.
username9 Posted March 10, 2005 Posted March 10, 2005 RELAX FOLKS!!!! They are just games - and Sagat fought slightly differently. Tekken is more accurate but basically pinmaster is right. Muay Thai is not kickboxing - not really. That is what Bruce uses. "American" Kickboxing or Kickboxing as non americans call it - is based on Sport Karate - that is what Bryan does.
