I voted monthly...got it as a "gift" and feel obligated to atleast take it out of its plastic bag...Honestly, I read the column "Karate Way" by Dave Lowery, cause I like the way he writes, have a few of his books...then I place it back in its plastic bag and place it in a new, bigger plastic bag that I then place at the curb. :D

I read it very very rarely. I dislike the adverts in it - far too many than necessary. I also dislike all the advertising in Kung Fu Magazine, but I tend to read that more often because I enjoy some of the articles and regular features in that, especially Sifu Henry Look's column.

As for UK magazines, I usually read Martial Arts Illustrated and Traditional Karate - I was bought both of those as subscription gifts. I sometimes read Combat too and I subscribe to Shotokan Karate International too, although that's been getting more and more adverts in it recently.

I know that advertising is an important source of income for magazines, especially the smaller, specialist titles, but too many adverts just darn well annoy me!

Yes, the advertisements do get out of hand. Some pages feature about five sentences from an article and three advertisements...

Still, I enjoy some of the articles.

Will MA Illustrated deliver to the US?

Yes, as far as I know.

Go to Martial Arts Illustrated to find out more.

Try also Martial Arts In Print. They publish Traditional Karate, Combat and TKD & Korean Martial Arts magazines.

I had a gift subscription to BB mag. But I rarely even read it. Once in a while a decent article would appear, and I read that, but then i'd forget the magazine was even there LOL.

aefibird, I'm also going to check out those links. I hope they ship to the US. I'll find out.

If they do, then they'll be well worth having, especially Martial Arts Illustrated.

It's a lot better than BB... plus my Wing Chun Sifu writes occasional articles for MAI! :)

BB is good for an article or two every now and then...maybe to pick up a move or two. I have problems with things like their habit of advertising "Bloussant" (breast enhancement pills).
