Your motto?

What is your motto? I like the phrase-

"The difficult, I do immediately. The impossible takes me a little bit longer."

Whats yours?

My dad likes the phrase

"Run like h***

"What we do in life, echoes in eternity."

"We must all fear evil men. But there is another kind of evil which we must fear most, and that is the indifference of good men."

I don't ever really think too much about catch phrases and all. I think many people like to say them without truly meaning it or trying to live up to it.

I'm not sure where this originally came from, but here is one that has always appealed to me and one that I strive to emulate:

"I do today what others won't so I can do tomorrow what others can't."

I just sort of have a philosophy...not sure I can condense it into a motto, but basically:

Everything happens for a reason. When one door closes, another one opens somewhere eventually, so keep your head up and ride out the storm.

That's basically what's gotten me through life. A lot of things happened that I wished never had at the time, but they really worked out for the best later.

no real motto to live by. I have seen a few that are interesting though.

"Hard work beats talent that hardly works."

of course, "Pain is just weakness leaving the body."

This one by Michael Jordan may be one of the best:

"I've missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I've lost almost 300 games. 26 times, I've been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I've failed over and over and over again in my life. And that's why i succed."

He who knows others is wise. He who knows himself is enlightened.

"Move as swift as a wind, stay as silent as forest, attack as fierce as fire, undefeatable defense like a mountain."

- Sun Tzu, the Art of War

I've always liked this one.

An ignorant man never learns from his mistakes.

A smart man learns from his mistakes.

A wise man learns from others' mistakes.

Unfortunately, I keep finding myself somewhere between ignorant and smart. I don't know if it's a motto if you find yourself unable to live up to it.

I generally keep in mind that, "What goes around, comes around."

Not much of a motto. I also like, "Carpe diem," meaning seize the day! I also used to use, "Go for it!"

Wish I had a more useful one... :P
