ShotokanKid Posted March 1, 2005 Posted March 1, 2005 How did you remove the blood? I recently got hit in the face and bled a little bit and my mom rubbed out the blood. Jussi Häkkinen Posted March 1, 2005 Posted March 1, 2005 Wash it with cold water first. After that, use a brush (nailbrush will do) and detergent to clear the rest. Wash normally. Iron. Wear. Jussi HäkkinenOkinawan Shorin-Ryu Seibukan Karate-Do (Kyan Chotoku lineage)TurkuFinland
ShotokanKid Posted March 1, 2005 Author Posted March 1, 2005 My mom scrubbed it with cold water and then washed it "What we do in life, echoes in eternity.""We must all fear evil men. But there is another kind of evil which we must fear most, and that is the indifference of good men."
aefibird Posted March 3, 2005 Posted March 3, 2005 Buy a red gi.... I find that washing in cold water removes any bloodsatins. Also, using an oxygen-based cleaner (e.g OxyMagic) will do the trick if there's any residual staining. "Was it really worth it? Only time and death may ever tell..." Dijita Posted March 3, 2005 Posted March 3, 2005 Ya I took a good hit to the face at a tournament and bled all over my gi. I was out of town so I didn't have a chance to soak my gi and the blood set. Oh well. Most important thing with blood. Soak it in COLD water as soon as you can. Then it'll wash out easily.
ncole_91 Posted March 3, 2005 Posted March 3, 2005 I had alot of blood on my pants from a cut I got, and my mom justed washed it in cold water and poof! it was all gone.
Red J Posted March 3, 2005 Posted March 3, 2005 Spray and Wash in cold water does the trick. I had to lose my mind to come to my senses.
strangepair03 Posted March 3, 2005 Posted March 3, 2005 I made a paste out of water and okyclean and scrubbed with a hard bristle brush, then washed with tide with bleach alternative...worked well for me. ShotokanKid Posted March 4, 2005 Author Posted March 4, 2005 My sensei says if you use hot water it basically bakes it in "What we do in life, echoes in eternity.""We must all fear evil men. But there is another kind of evil which we must fear most, and that is the indifference of good men."
mindsedgeblade Posted March 4, 2005 Posted March 4, 2005 I just used regular tide and scrubbed my gi in the sink. The blood came right out. And this was after sitting for a day. We had been doing throws, and my gi rubbed a spot on my arm that bled, and later we were sparring and my partner caught an elbow to the nose. No real harm done. But he did have to run to the bathroom to stop it. =:-} The best a man can hope foris, over the course of his lifetime,to change for the better.
