Dye bleeding onto white gi

From what I read the main ingredients are:

 

sodium percarbonate

 

hydrogen peroxide

43 Years old

Blue Belt (7th Kyu) Shorin-ryu

I started using OxyClean as well... around the neck of my gi has yellowed a bit.

 

I really didn't see a change in the brightness... I think I'll soak the neck longer. BUT... if you have a crest on your gi, be careful of getting it wet with oxyclean. I soaked mine a bit, then bundled in my laundry basket for a few minutes before I threw it in the washer. The red dye in my crest bleed. It came out since it was all wet. So, heads up! :)

I'm guessing that it's more sodium carbonate (aka washing soda) in combination with other chemicals that generate peroxide (or more appropriately, peroxy radicals). These are much more suitable for washing gis than any hypochlorite (aka chlorine) bleaches.
