CapitalKarate Posted February 24, 2005 Posted February 24, 2005 I had a sensei out in Oregon recommend this dojo as possibly a dojo for me to go to cause it'll be closer to where I'll be living. I don't know squat about JKF so if someone could tell me how effective it is when it comes to real life self defense that'd be great. Also, does anyone know if they cover all the aspects of fighting? (stand up, take downs, joint locks, grappling/ground fighting, kubodu) Thanks! http://www.jkfnw.com/index.html BTW, the dojo I would be going to is the one in Salem. Joshua Brehm-When you're not practicing remember this; someone, somewhere, is practicing, and when you meet them, they will beat you.
cathal Posted February 26, 2005 Posted February 26, 2005 I have not heard anything negative about that organization, aside from the standard politics in the tournaments everyone's organization seems to have. .The best victory is when the opponent surrendersof its own accord before there are any actualhostilities...It is best to win without fighting.- Sun-tzu

Killer Miller Posted February 26, 2005 Posted February 26, 2005 Don't confuse JKF as being JKA. They are two totally different organizations - just in case you were not aware of that. - Killer - Mizu No KokoroShodan - Nishiyama SenseiTable Tennis: http://www.jmblades.com/Auto Weblog: http://appliedauto.mypunbb.com/Auto Forum: http://appauto.wordpress.com/
