Goju_boi
but remember this karate came from kung fu,so a lot of the techniques they use are also used in kung fu.Also not all kung fu is flowery looking, especially wing chun https://www.samuraimartialsports.com for your source of Karate,Kobudo,Aikido,And Kung-Fu

elbows_and_knees
but remember this karate came from kung fu,so a lot of the techniques they use are also used in kung fu.Also not all kung fu is flowery looking, especially wing chunthe fact that karate came from kung fu is actually irrelevant. it came from it HUNDREDS of years ago, and changed not only from chinese to okinawan, but from okinawan to japanese. They are really far separated from eachother. Consequently, it's effectiveness (or lack thereof) has no bearing whatsoever on kung fu. Some will argue that thai boxing came from kung fu as well, and you know you really can't compare those two...
elbows_and_knees
the capoeira instructor in our building also holds a bb in tang soo do. He's very good. my experiences with WC havaen't been as good. I've had few problems with the WC guys I've sparred, and have seen a WC sifu get torn a new one by a karate bb in a continuous sparring event.maybe the karate fighter was just the better fighterNo doubt he was. but since WC is supposedly so effective, then he really should've done better, which was my point. Goju_boi
well elbows_and_knees I'm not saying kung fu looks identical to karate but like I mentioned they have their similarities, especially my style.Goju Ryu is the most chinese influenced style of karate practiced. As for thai coming from kung fu.i wouldnt deny it,because if you look at san shou/san da thay have a lot of similarities. https://www.samuraimartialsports.com for your source of Karate,Kobudo,Aikido,And Kung-Fu
