15-lisa-newbie Posted February 19, 2005 Posted February 19, 2005 MY master is a 2nd degree blackbelt.. and he trains us a few times a week.. ive been in it a while and we havent been doing anything to do with weapons.. do all 2nd degree blackbelts have to have training with weapons?? i want to learn bo staff techniques. Red J Posted February 19, 2005 Posted February 19, 2005 No, it is not a requirement in some systems. BTW, if he is a second degree he isn't a master. At least not yet. Most systems say 5th degree, some 4th. The best thing to do is ask. The bo is a pretty common weapon across most systems. If he has any knowledge, it would probably be with the bo or with sticks. I had to lose my mind to come to my senses.
