1kickKO Posted February 21, 2005 Posted February 21, 2005 Well if the student is just asking how a technique is done, by all means help him/her out with that technique. But if it is one of those nagging "you don't do it like that" types...simply talk to them after class, or pull them off to the side and tell them that as nicely as you can, that sensei appointed you to instruct, and that you are doing it how sensei showed you, and that if they really don't like it they can ask sensei on the matter but please don't bring it up in front of class, as that's disrupting class time.
jedimc Posted February 22, 2005 Posted February 22, 2005 Do a demo of the technique and show how many things it can block against (if showing a block). http://jedimc.tripod.com/ma.html - what MA do you do, this is my poll.
krzychicano Posted February 22, 2005 Posted February 22, 2005 I would dare someone to knock some sense into me. What the superior man seeks is in himself; what the small man seeks is in others. - Confucius
cathal Posted February 23, 2005 Posted February 23, 2005 I certainly wouldn't want to be learning from that "sensei" .The best victory is when the opponent surrendersof its own accord before there are any actualhostilities...It is best to win without fighting.- Sun-tzu
