karatekid1975 Posted July 11, 2005 Posted July 11, 2005 I've been a red belt for ever LOL (red is one rank below black .... high red is next). Well, 7 months to be exact hehehehe. I'm in no rush though.I'm quoting myself again ..... hehehehehe. I finally tested for high red in TKD (1st gup/kyu) this saturday. I won't know if I passed till the 23rd, though Laurie F
Menjo Posted July 11, 2005 Posted July 11, 2005 Iam a brown belt(3rd kyu), Shotokan... "Time is what we want most, but what we use worst"William Penn
sdargie Posted July 11, 2005 Posted July 11, 2005 I am a 9th gup in Hapchidado. We start at 10 and count down to black belt. At some point if I have the time I'd like to train in "pure" Aikido and Kendo for more experience.I finally tested for high red in TKD (1st gup/kyu) this saturday. I won't know if I passed till the 23rd, though. Why does it take so long to decide if you passed? O Sensei said that everyone has a defined sphere of strength and if you can get them outside that sphere then their strength will disappear. I say, EXPAND YOUR SPHERE!
Khan Posted July 11, 2005 Posted July 11, 2005 My current belt is green (6th Kyu - Shotokan) but I'm going for 5th Kyu (Purple) next saturday.

karatekid1975 Posted July 11, 2005 Posted July 11, 2005 Why does it take so long to decide if you passed?I actually don't know. But the 23rd is when my graduation is. If I don't get a phone call telling me I failed, then I go. So far I haven't gotten a phone call. I take that as a good sign Laurie F
