KUNTA KINTE Posted February 8, 2005 Posted February 8, 2005 When i am sparring some times i feel like my arms and legs and fists are not apart of me they feel like i am uncomfortable i guess. it is a wierd feeling it. I am not doing bad in sparring but i think if i can fix the problem i will be much much better. Any ideas on how to fix it?? Does anyone else know what i am talking about? Straight Blast Posted February 9, 2005 Posted February 9, 2005 Well judging on how you say that your arms and legs dont feel like a part of you,it could be that you are wildly swinging your arms and legs to try to hit the opponent. It could be that or either your form needs to have a bit of a clean up.
taiji fajin Posted February 9, 2005 Posted February 9, 2005 do more meditation, this will go away (along with many other things getting better) Fetch Daddy's blue fright wig! I must be handsome when I unleash my rage.
KUNTA KINTE Posted February 10, 2005 Author Posted February 10, 2005 I am not wildly swinging at all i am pretty good at sparring. I think it is the gloves make me feel different or uncomfortable. The right to keep and bear Arms.
1kickKO Posted February 10, 2005 Posted February 10, 2005 It's not the gloves, it's probably because you think about it while you're fighting..you notice it, therefore ya think about it. Tell your sensei to watch yo fight and ask him for any suggestions...it's 100% mental..have fun though.

My arms felt like it was a chain..and my fists were the ball.

Straight Blast Posted February 10, 2005 Posted February 10, 2005 that coulb be the reason why. To me those are the size of sock em bopers...but feel like they are blocks of cements around my hands. I normally train with 14oz...but going barehand to wearing something can still make a big difference to you no matter what size they are.
krzychicano Posted February 14, 2005 Posted February 14, 2005 It could also be that your mind is ready for the material but your body hasnt absorbed it or adjusted to some of the moves. What the superior man seeks is in himself; what the small man seeks is in others. - Confucius
