ChibiMethos Posted February 5, 2005 Posted February 5, 2005 I've been taking Akido since August. I took and passed my 7th kyu test in November, and Thursday I had my first Bokken class. I really like it, and I would like to pratice the bacis moves at home, but my sensei isn't real big on handouts. Can someone tell me where I can find a short discription (with pictures) of the techniques?
tommarker Posted February 10, 2005 Posted February 10, 2005 Just practice the one or two cuts you learned in class. Sword isn't usually something that is taught at a fast pace. I'm no longer posting here. Adios.
seersin Posted February 11, 2005 Posted February 11, 2005 Yeah,I would say just gradgually work at it,take your time and practice tha few cuts you learn in your DOJO at home. ISAIAH 53:5
krzychicano Posted February 11, 2005 Posted February 11, 2005 Yea you don't want to over do it. You lose alot of valuable information if you try to move to fast. Just remember it's not a race. In some arts you can go your whole life and never master everything. So don't rush it. What the superior man seeks is in himself; what the small man seeks is in others. - Confucius
