Throwing cards

Last I heard, Gambit is pretty good at throwing cards.

Say ShogunMisha, where do you hail from? I'd like to get cards thrown at me. If nothing else, I can show off a cut given to me by someone throwing cards.

As far as flesh being tougher than hardwood, it isn't. But the elasticity of the skin may actually help it be more resistant to card throwing. I'll be honest and say I haven't done too much research in that area of weaponry...
have you ever seen a cop walking around with a staff or some nunchauks??
At the risk of hijacking the thread... :) Yes, I've seen policemen with Nunchaku. I have a pair on nunchaku made by Orcutt designed specifically for carry by police, and Monadnock (they make expandable batons and PR-24s) once made a police nunchaku that was really heavy and brutal. There's also a non-striking version of the nunchaku made for police. Never seen it though. But to answer the original question: http://www.davidslife.com/funstuff/cards/technique.htm

I'm no longer posting here. Adios.

I'm sorry if it might sound a little unbelievable, but using regular playing cards on a good throw i can take large chunks out of hard wood chairs and dressers. So just think. . .if i can do that with just a playing card to hard wood, i could kill a person by striking them in the neck with a card. Playing cards are dangerous, but the reason why they are not frequently used as a weapon is because of their difficulty in aiming and in getting masterful technique. I myself still have trouble aiming effectively. I have, however, done experimentation with other, heavier and lighter types of cards, like phone cards, steel cards, hotel keys, and notecards.

You have to forgive us if we are skeptical. Extraordinary claims require extraordinary evidence in order to be believed.

Agreed! Any links to sites, or do you have pictures to verify this claim of taking chunks out of hardwood? Myself, I'd say it was impossible out of even pine.

I understand your disbelief. However, even in my destruction of furniture in my house there are still those who are better then me. I would gladly take a photo of one of the pieces of furniture or my styrofoam target with my digital camera and post it if you would like. However, you must understand that i am a novice. There are those who are far better than me at this art, and it does not matter how much power you have, but instead your precision. Power without accuracy serves no purpose. As for selling a video for money, i don't really approve of selling skill.
