Jiggy9
Sorry Jamie - But I know a website with all the katas online. You could do what I did, and download them then burn them onto a CD. Look on http://www.kamikaze.com and look for the CD's "Never hit a man while he's down; kick him, its easier"Sensei Ron Bagley (My Sensei)
SaiFightsMS
And then it depends on what you are looking for and why? Like what you hope to get out of it? It is possible to get written directions for all 26 kata of the shotokan canon. As well as video clips on the net. One word though too much information at one time does result in overload. And to really make use of most of this information you need a basis built first of the type generally only offered by formal instruction.

AnonymousOne
The Best Karate Series are ok but very poor in Bunkai of the advanced Kata 7th Dan ChidokaiA true combat warrior has to be hard as nails in mind, body and soul. Warriors are action takers and not action fakers. If you are cruising, make time for losing

ramymensa
Great link. I've used their site for almost 2 years. The katas are great. They are performed by those from JKA. One thought though ... the katas are performed slowly so we may learn better. Don't expect your performance to look this way You'll have to work with your sensei in order to perform katas with rhytm. For start the katas are OK. And as another member said, you can burn a CD with them and so you'll have a quality one http://www.shorinryu.dk/html/indexe.htm Another link. For Shorin katas. The first link, http://ctr.usf.edu/shotokan/kata.html is for SHOTOKAN katas. World Shotokan Karate
