Keumgang Posted January 17, 2005 Posted January 17, 2005 Tang Soo Do means "Way of the open hand of Tang" Tang as in China's Tang dynasty. I think what the guy meant was the Chinese characters for Karate Do and Tang Soo Do are the same. There are no inns on the highway to death. tufrthanu Posted January 17, 2005 Posted January 17, 2005 Kara Te Do = Tang Soo Do Originally kara meant china but the founder changed it to empty. Long Live the Fighters!
