If London win the bid for the 2012 Games then I'll be going...to watch.

That's about as close as I'll ever get to going to the Olympics, unless I suddenly take up an obscure or lesser sport to bet entered as a competitior...

My closest 'claim to fame' is that I have a friend who has been selected for the British Bobsleigh Team for the next Winter Olympics. GO MARK! :D

As a trdition TKD fighter, I would never compete in Olympic TKD. I love to use my hands and would not give that up for any kind of medal. The practicallity behind Olympic TKD does not appeal to me at all. If they changed the rules and allowed punches to the face, I'd love to compete, but it isn't so :(.

I went to the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta. I only saw the track and Field though

If i had to choose between karate and everything else, I would choose karate so i could beat up whoever made me make the decision and have everything else

It's too bad Vancouver got the winter olympics and not somehow the summer ones. Then I'd go see all the judo and TKD competitions. It would be sweet.

Isn't Karate being considered for status as an olympic sport now?
