Piastre Posted January 24, 2002 Posted January 24, 2002 Lewis is a very good, but not great fighter. He has benefitted from a VERY weak era of heavyweight boxers. His only fights against a genuinely great opponent were against Holyfield. But Holyfield was also shot by that stage. He has also been knocked out cold by two fighters who could be described as journeymen at best. Lewis would have presented no problem for a younger Holyfield or Tyson. That being said, Tyson simply has hardly fought at all over the past few years, and a photo of him a couple of weeks ago showed he was FAT. He's living off his old reputation as the "baddest man on earth" presently. Bring on April 6!
Jiggy9 Posted January 25, 2002 Posted January 25, 2002 In all honesty - I dont know much about boxing, and Im not going to pretend that I do. But I do know that April 6 will be one heck of fight... Shotokan Karate Black Belt ==Defend the path of Truth==

SaiFightsMS Posted January 30, 2002 Posted January 30, 2002 Well, in any event there will be no fight in Nevada. The boxing commission has had enough. And Lewis what does he have to say? Well it seems Tyson did bite a chunk of thigh out of his leg right through the pants!
kicker Posted January 30, 2002 Posted January 30, 2002 Yes there going to have to fight in other state or province who knows this fight will problebly not even happen. when you do your best it`s going to show. "If you watch the pros, You will learn something new"
Piastre Posted January 30, 2002 Posted January 30, 2002 It will be interesting to see if it goes ahead. The richest fight in history, and one of the most high profile in many, many years. But in boxings own inimitable style, it is descending into a farce. Big surprise. [ This Message was edited by: Piastre on 2002-01-30 18:52 ]
AnonymousOne Posted January 30, 2002 Posted January 30, 2002 Tyson a loser? Hmmmm Not physically. I think he suffers from a poor self esteem imho 7th Dan ChidokaiA true combat warrior has to be hard as nails in mind, body and soul. Warriors are action takers and not action fakers.
