street fighter Posted February 4, 2005 Posted February 4, 2005 Gilbert, I do so like the philosophy in the arts but when talking about a street fight with someone who may really need your help, talk in a language they can understand. Also not everyone studys styles that are so deep in thought, do it more like deflect and strike, instead of take his fire and drown him with your water. Hey thats just me and im sure some of you dont like it. Survivor
Muaythaiboxer Posted February 4, 2005 Posted February 4, 2005 gilbert im a fan of aikido but alot what you say seems a little off beat. please dont use the aikido philosophy when i comes to a real fight it will get you beaten. some of the new people on this forum dont know the difference and might interprit what you post wrong. street fighter Posted February 4, 2005 Posted February 4, 2005 A wild swinging fighter, hmmmm, go up his middle and obtain a clinch and destroy him with knees and elbows, hmmmm, side step and attack his side with either or knees and kicks as well as hands and elbows, hmmmmm, deflect and move in for side control in a lock or take his back and chokem out or whatever may be called for, hmmmm, the list just goes on and on. Cross train and see what so many others can do. Survivor
Muaythaiboxer Posted February 4, 2005 Posted February 4, 2005 that was the best post so far on this subject and i think you nailed it street fighter. the answer=use what ever works! bravo Fist visible Strike invisible
Gilbert Posted February 8, 2005 Posted February 8, 2005 I see.... But it is really quite simple on an opponent who wild swings. there alot of many oppenings. ofcourse this forums are for opinions and help on others as well as for me. to see different ways one could counter. as for the fire and water. it is a signature at the bottom i put on my profile. they are O'sensei's words not mine. but I'm starting to understand more and more on what he means. Even the most powerful human being has a limited sphere of strength. Draw him outside of that sphere and into your own, and his strength will dissipate.
Muaythaiboxer Posted February 9, 2005 Posted February 9, 2005 oh sorry gilbert i ment no dissrespect to O'sensei i was just a little curious. Fist visible Strike invisible
Kreisi Posted February 11, 2005 Posted February 11, 2005 if he is swinging and you get close he is extremly easy to throw with Osotogari, Deashibarai, Ouchigari, Kouchigari, or any other fast leg throw. What hurts you but doesn't kill you, makes you stronger.
Chaz Posted February 11, 2005 Posted February 11, 2005 I don't know if someones allready made this suggestion, too many to read... But if someone did that to me, especially with there eyes closed, I'd give um a quick snap kick to the groin that they'd probably run right into. That should end the situation pretty quick when his hands are suddenly covering himself. Then you have all day to finish it... Stupid people like that never see that kick coming especially if you throw some windmills in there(if you take a fluid MA)...Although I do agree that your question is a good one, people with no training are harder to figure out sometimes because there so unpredictable.... Muaythaiboxer Posted February 12, 2005 Posted February 12, 2005 ahhh camon chaz, a guy with no training who you are going to beat anyway, and just to add insult to injury you kick low (very mean but very smart) lol Fist visible Strike invisible
CadetRay Posted February 15, 2005 Posted February 15, 2005 I would just mve back a little n get good poisition then use a front kick to there stomach knee or gorin. front kicks are pretty affective when they are swining waildly.
