Jiggy9 Posted January 25, 2002 Posted January 25, 2002 Last time we saw an Australian turnaround during a tournament like this was in the World Cup ; need i say more. But Im rooting for New Zealand ... What can I say about Chris Cairns - (bow down) Man he's awesome...I reckon he's the best allrounder in the world rite now. Zaknafein Posted January 27, 2002 Posted January 27, 2002 hey..how did a soccer discussion get turned into a cricket discussion (spits)? Anyho, I think canada is gunna own this summer (...why did everyone suddenly start laughing? ). Seriously, me thinks (hopes) that Brazil will win. The problem is that lately I have not been following soccer as faithfully as I used to and am a little clueless about the balance of power in the sport. _________________ Feel the 'Putt Jattan De' power!! *Truth is highest, but Truthful living is higher still* [ This Message was edited by: Zaknafein on 2002-01-27 18:31 ] Feel the 'Putt Jattan De' power!!*Truth is highest, but Truthful living is higher still*

Ryukyu1 Posted February 21, 2002 Posted February 21, 2002 Its got to be either France or Argentina. Anyone taking bets that Beckham gets sent off again against England??
Jiggy9 Posted February 22, 2002 Posted February 22, 2002 Hey It's all Piastre's fault... Shotokan Karate Black Belt ==Defend the path of Truth==
Piastre Posted February 22, 2002 Posted February 22, 2002 My fault????? That's a little harsh isnt' it?
Ahazmaksya Posted February 22, 2002 Posted February 22, 2002 ..Damn Australasian cricket fans... I know nothing about international soccer...But If I had to go for a team it would be France/Italy.
Piastre Posted February 22, 2002 Posted February 22, 2002 All of us cricket fanatics know that all roads lead back to Steve Waugh and his boys, but never mind. I can't wait for the World Cup. I'd just like to be able to barrack for Australia for once instead of Italy, although 1982 was a great time for the Australian/Italian community! I guess France and Argentina will be favorites, with Italy and Brazil on the next lines, even after the South American qualifiers. Brazil always give you the impression of being sleeping giants.
