VinnieDaChin
hey- heres a random question. why do you think is it that big guys can take harder hits than little guys? heavy weights can take a few hard punches to the head, but a lightweight would probably be knocked right out by one. SevenStar
all of the extra mass they carry... it enables them to absorb more punishment.
VinnieDaChin
even hits to the head though- all the body mass in the world doesnt change that, know what i mean?
STR33T GUY
Bigger bodies = bigger heads Bigger heads = more massive heads More massive heads = more punishment can be absorbed by head Know what I mean? A minute of experience on the street is worth a year of training in the dojo.If you can’t sprawl and brawl, you can’t street fight.
SevenStar
bigger bodies also generally translate to bigger necks. the neck acts as a shock absorber for head shots.
VinnieDaChin
that makes sense. bigger bodies hardly have bigger heads, though. the brain and skill and all that is the same throughout smaller guys and bigger guys. come to think of it, rather than just the neck, i bet the entire body being bigger means it all absorbs the hits more.... guess in a way it sucks to be a big guy competing. Why would it suck? it makes you less prone to get knocked out...
Hudson
Yup, big necks can prevent a concussion. The game of chess is much like a swordfight; you must think before you move.
