i only know the basics of muay thai and have only done a small amount of trainning but of what i did do i found out that it take it out of your shins very fast i was able to handle it but it did test me. i am awar that there is a lot more to muay thai than just kicking but that was the aspect i found the hardest.

How do you strenghthen up your shins

and after so many matches and so much trainning how do your shins end up stronger or smashed up?

Get plenty of calcium and just keep kicking the heavy bag and thai-pads. Don't sweat the shin stuff. Oh, and don't ever do steroids, they make the bones brittle. If anyone tells you to "roll pins" on your shins or beat your shins with hard objects, ignore them. They guys at Fairtex only kick the heavy bags and thai-pads, they have a decent reputation in Muay Thai.

well you could wear shin pads to stop some of it and like thaiboxerken to do to strenghten your shins

Yep - what Ken said!

I'd like to add - make sure you wear shorts when using the Thai Pads & Heavy Bag - i.e. bare shins.
