aefibird
What's your training 'resolutions' for 2005? Many people make New Year Resolutions - has anyone made any for their martial arts training? Mine is: to try and become better in everything MA-related that I do, especially when teaching classes. Specifically, my resolutions are: to keep working on my 1st form in Wing Chun and try and get it the best that I can to improve my side thrust kick in karate and to learn a kama kata with lots of application. Shane
I'm teaching 2 additional classes a week on top of the 7 I already teach, so my primary goal for 2005 is not to let this interfere with my own training and increase my personal martial arts training, for the last 8 months my primary goal has been to get my classes off the ground and running smoothly, so now that I have them going awsome I plan on bumping up my training. I also will be starting to introduce weight lifting to my training routine (its been about 3 years since I've lifted). I have a good feeling about this year and I"m motivated for it. ncole_91
I did not start to long ago, so my New Year Resolution would be, no tot miss a class, unless i am sick. Stick to MA, work hard, try my best, you know all that kind of stuff. I really would like to improve my kicks and flexibility, so I have some exercises to do for that. For kicks, i would like to improve my speed and strength especially my roundhouses. For flexibility, be able to do the splits ^^ lol, and also just all around flexibility. I would like to get into a better fitness level, maybe try sparring a couple times. There is mine for now, that is all I can think. good luck to everyone else. Hudson
Hah, looks like I'm not the only one with a side thrust kick in the resolution Also, to develop more power from technique not muscle And to get more muscle and lose fat The game of chess is much like a swordfight; you must think before you move. I wouldn't get past power camp (first part of the test is physical) right now LOL. So I need to start running, ect. Laurie F
AngelaG
To work towards my black belt. To keep my enthusiasm up and keep training as much as I am at the moment.
