Apparently they have a poison built into the blade that makes whatever the blade cuts poisioned??? MenteReligieuse Posted December 22, 2004 Posted December 22, 2004 A quick google search got me a bunch of game rules about weeping blades..Weeping Blades: Causes 1 extra wound in the same way as blade venom (this bonus may not be removed by means of a "Remove Venom" spell from the Light College), ignores 1 point of enemy toughness when rolling DD, causes damage as sword (critic 12, fumble 1) Poisoned blades were used in history but not often, doubt they ever got named "weeping blades".

These projections would break of and be left behind in the wound. These projections being rusty would cause tetanus. I don’t know if this is the weeping blade that you are talking about, but it does sound awful. A minute of experience on the street is worth a year of training in the dojo.If you can’t sprawl and brawl, you can’t street fight.

They didn't have microscopes. Not doubting that a piece of a sword that happened to break off in a wound would cause infection, just doubting that they would have designed it that way since they didn't even know what caused infection at that time in history. Then, hundreds of years later we come along and examine the sword and say to ourselves "Wow, nice sword, let's look at it with a microscope and then put it on the Antiques Roadshow and claim it was made by the Vikings."
