kimura_guy Posted December 18, 2004 Author Posted December 18, 2004 You dont have to call me sir, Im not one of your DIs LOL. Dont always trust your recruiter, get everything in writing. If you want me to give you a heads up on some of the PT you can do to prepare, then hit me up on PM. It's better to be judged by 12, than carried by 6.
Son Goku the monkeyking Posted December 18, 2004 Posted December 18, 2004 I'm sorry but isn't this post suppose to be about Krav Maga martial arts Holla _______________________ remember, don't pick on nerds, you might end up working for them - Bill Gates
Shane Posted December 18, 2004 Posted December 18, 2004 So what We're off topic a bit, but its for a good cause! To be honest with you at least half of the topics in the forum get side tracked and turned into something else, thats the cool thing about this site. A True Martial Arts Instructor is more of a guide than anything, on your way to developing the warrior within yourself!!!!!
DeadCell Posted December 19, 2004 Posted December 19, 2004 Army is good if you can get yourself to an Airborne unit. There is a big diffrence between Airborne units and leg (non-Airborne qualified) units. I will put my Airborne Corp Against Yor Marine Corp anyday. -De Opresso Liber
kimura_guy Posted December 19, 2004 Author Posted December 19, 2004 Airborne is pretty hardcore too, but I dont wanna get into a who is best chest beating ritual. I will just say that I respect anyone that wishes to serve the country in the armed forces. Each branch has diffrent units that serve the country in diffrent ways. They all specialize in diffrent ways also. Marines are the first in, in any battle (I hated when my unit was on alpha increment). But there is no doubt that our country wouldnt be where we are without the honorable service of the airborne, rangers, seals, recon marines, etc. So, to every one that has ever served, is presently serving, or will serve in the future, I take my hat off to yall. Joining the military is not a popular choice right now, but a necessary one. Sorry, I was rambling, LOL. Anywho, that was my 2 cents. KG It's better to be judged by 12, than carried by 6.
DeadCell Posted December 19, 2004 Posted December 19, 2004 Just some friendly joking. I fully respect all services. We need them all. The only thing I have with the Marines is their recruiters, they fill everyones head with * about Marines are the best blah blah, but it really comes down to the individual. Marines are the first in, in any battle Not entirely true.
kimura_guy Posted December 20, 2004 Author Posted December 20, 2004 Well, I agree partly. Marines recruiters do fill peoples heads with *, but all the recruiters do that too, and Marines are the best. KG It's better to be judged by 12, than carried by 6.
krzychicano Posted December 20, 2004 Posted December 20, 2004 I was in the army and loved every minute of it! I also have friends who are in the marines and they love it just as much as I loved the army. I respect all military because when it really comes down to it they all work together to get the job done. I bet there are alot of marine and army infantry men out there who have been in real battles when the s**t got tough and they thank the airforce or the artillery everyday for blowing the enemy to shreds!
