Goju 4 Life
What's the goofiest thing you've tried to get away with in the dojo? I once forgot my gee pants and tried to pass my black jeans off as heavy weight uniform pants. Didn't work. If i had to choose between karate and everything else, I would choose karate so i could beat up whoever made me make the decision and have everything else
ShotokanKid
After getting a new belt, I accidentally wore my old belt. The teacher was having us do kata and he says i think you should do a lower kata and i had to say i accidentally wore my old belt. "What we do in life, echoes in eternity.""We must all fear evil men. June1
LOL. The only thing I've gotten away with is wearing jewelry during class. I did that today, actually. I had a ring and several bracelets (those rubber ones), as well as my cross necklace. I normally keep my ring and necklace on in class and no one says anything. I at least took out my hoop earrings today, though. I knew that I'd probably be so clumsy as to rip them out of my ears while doing kata or something. Ouch! Kool Kiais: ICE! DIE! KITES! Kieran-Lilith
Hmmm...we don't get away with much...the Senseis pay too much attention....talking, I guess, is about all we manage most days. And then we eventually get yelled at, because the dojo gets noisy. And then Sensei asks us if we were talking about the technique, and some little bratty kids lies and says "Yes Sensei, we were talking about the punch". We were doing kicks....we did push-ups for that. Kieran-Lilith
I swear those kids are just asking for it from us older ones some days, I don't see how else they could act so entirely stupid....It gets to the point where some kids of the higher ranks can't even answer simple translation questions...once again, push-ups.
