Practically yes. The turn/jump to the ground is similar in pretty much every Kusanku. Usually the bunkai is also pretty similar.

 

My advice to the original question still would be: Ask your sensei. It's pretty much useless to ask applications from the internet - after all, if one doesn't get them from own sensei, he must train karate in a wrong place to begin with. No advice from the internet will ever help around that.

i dont know this kata, but my guess could be a break fall.

 

there are an emense amount of possibilitys for each move in a kata, basically if it works, it right.

"Cry in the dojo, laugh on the battle field."

Remeber some moves in the Kata are not showing what you are doing but rather what you are making the other do.

"If you don't want to get hit while sparring , join the cardio class"
