karatekaBR86
What is the point in throwing yourself on the ground in the Chibana version of the shuri-te kata, Kusanku?
P.A.L
is chibana no kusanku same as kusanku dai of shorinkan(kobayashi)?
Jussi Häkkinen
Practically yes. The turn/jump to the ground is similar in pretty much every Kusanku. Usually the bunkai is also pretty similar. My advice to the original question still would be: Ask your sensei. It's pretty much useless to ask applications from the internet - after all, if one doesn't get them from own sensei, he must train karate in a wrong place to begin with. No advice from the internet will ever help around that. tommarker
Unless his teacher pulled a "what do you think?" and he's just too lazy to actually think karatekaBR86, tell us what you think it might be, and maybe we can have a discussion instead of a Q&A. I'm no longer posting here. Adios.
1st KYU
i dont know this kata, but my guess could be a break fall. there are an emense amount of possibilitys for each move in a kata, basically if it works, it right. kempocos
Remeber some moves in the Kata are not showing what you are doing but rather what you are making the other do.
