dippedappe Posted December 10, 2004 Posted December 10, 2004 This type of post has probably been made many times, but Im making one now because of my problem, and think its a nice topic. Its about writing all the problems you will get being in a streetfight, and then hopefully someone will write back with the answer, thought or something else. Where I come from we have a big problem with violent immigrants. They think very highly of honour, yet somehow they think its honourable to be 10 against 1. And beat the nothing out of the poor soul when hes down. I dont see how Im gonna defend my girlfriend, myself or my friends against this type. IF I manage to beat three of them, IF. Then I will have 10 against me, in no-time. And I dont carry a Nunchachu with me. I will normally not give in unleas I have no alternative, But I dont want my girlfriend to think Im a coward(or my friends). A classical dilemma.
Nick_UKWC Posted December 10, 2004 Posted December 10, 2004 Your friends or girlfriend would seriously think less of you because you wouldn't stand up to ten people? Maybe they should have a go themselves. I'm probably going to pee a few people off here but frankly I'd have the local police involved if you seriously feel there is that level of risk. ASBOS should mean that they are dealt with without having to actually wait for something to happen. That's assuming you live in the UK. Gumbi Posted December 10, 2004 Posted December 10, 2004 I dont exactly get what you're asking here: what legal actions are possible from a street fight? what are common techniques used by people against you? what do you do if you fight more than one? Care to elborate a bit more?
Drunken Monkey Posted December 10, 2004 Posted December 10, 2004 street fight or street defence? in any case, i just can't see how the situation you describe can actually occur. 10+ violent people suddenly attack you all at once? either you've just been 'ambushed' or you're a poo stirring trouble maker. "frankly I'd have the local police involved if you seriously feel there is that level of risk" gasp, a sensible answer. can't have that here....... post count is directly related to how much free time you have, not how intelligent you are."When you have to kill a man it costs nothing to be polite."
dippedappe Posted December 10, 2004 Author Posted December 10, 2004 Maybe its just because its in Denmark, I dont know. It mostly starts like this: One of them(or three) sees me walking with my girlfriend. One of them shouts * or something like that, and then the guy with the girl, are most of the time surposed to act to that. If I say something to them they come over to try and beat me, If I dont react, they follow os, and probably tries to beats me anyway. One of them calls on their bigger "cussins"(Very big cussins). And then the beating starts. And if I somehow manages to defend mylady and myself, then I will have about ten or more tryieng to find me.
Shane Posted December 10, 2004 Posted December 10, 2004 Start Training Gun-Fu I prefer the Glock model 23 its pretty compact but still accurate. (40) A True Martial Arts Instructor is more of a guide than anything, on your way to developing the warrior within yourself!!!!!
Shane Posted December 10, 2004 Posted December 10, 2004 Okay I do prefer the Glock 23 but I really dont suggest taking it to that level, it might be something to get the local police involved in. These types of people need to have something done to them. A True Martial Arts Instructor is more of a guide than anything, on your way to developing the warrior within yourself!!!!!
dippedappe Posted December 10, 2004 Author Posted December 10, 2004 lol. I do study gun-fu. see bellow my belt. But it would be naive to think I can stand up against 10 or more, without atleast a weapon of some kind. The police kcan do nothing about it. Its been a problem for years. These imigrants just dont know how to behave.
Sasori_Te Posted December 10, 2004 Posted December 10, 2004 gun fu as in hand gun, not gung fu as in Chinese martial art. In answer to that I would like to say that it's easier to carry a gun in the states than in any other country I've been in, and I've been in several. We tend to take things for granted here when it concerns things like the right to carry a weapon. Most of the other countries that I've been in keep a tight lid on things like that, for the average, honest, law-abiding citizen anyway. A block is a strike is a lock is a throw.
Rich67 Posted December 11, 2004 Posted December 11, 2004 He's talking another country, from what I take it...not in the USA. Don't know what gun laws are in your area. Let me ask this: is there a way to avoid these characters? I mean, here in my area, if you know of problem places you tend to avoid them, right? Is there another path you can take to your destination? Is there a reason why you have to walk by these idiots? Why not just avoid it all together if possible? I love some of these posts I read (no offense to this one) where people complain about getting jumped in heavy bar-populated areas. You get into those situation because you choose to be! If you want to go out partying and drinking, find a new place that doesn't have the trouble. If this is by your home, work or school, then report the incident to authorities. You are not going to take 10 on 1. Sorry. That's in the movies. To even consider it is foolish. Avoid the area #1. Call the police #2. If those two fail, following your country's laws carry a weapon (pistol) and learn to use it. If your life is threatened, you better be prepared to pull the trigger. But you better try option one and two first, otherwise you may bite off more than you can chew. Mixed Martial Artist
