ramcalgary Posted January 15, 2002 Posted January 15, 2002 Although I understand that those who participate in fights such as the UFC are great athletes is it just me or does watching two guys roll around on the ground get boring.....I will take a good kickboxing fight anytime... Honor is the most important thing a man has once you lose it it is gone forever
SaiFightsMS Posted January 17, 2002 Posted January 17, 2002 Ah well if one type of martial art fit everyone there would not be thousands of styles.
Prodigy-Child Posted January 17, 2002 Posted January 17, 2002 yeah some ufc and pride fights are really boring if you get a grappler vs a grappler, it doesnt really become a mixed martial arts event its just a jiu jitsu match, and it does get a little boring to see guys in the mount for about 2 minutes straght You can boo me if you want, You know I'm right!-Chris Rock
Slider Posted January 17, 2002 Posted January 17, 2002 I agree...I tend to not wanna waste my money on prize fights that last 2 min...and watching a bunch of fat guys roll around on the mat gets about as fun to watch as getting a root canal. I think they should mix the fight according to the style, but that would kinda negate the purpose of a "reality" event, but oh well. Hasta!! Slider Check out "Koldsteel" Enterprises. We offer a wide variety of aluminum samurai swords for training or competition. All of these swords are light as a feather, but look awsome. Joecooke007 Posted January 19, 2002 Posted January 19, 2002 True rolling around on the ground does get boring. There are so many more techniques that can be used. It is a waste of good training if they've actually received it. Boards don't hit back. -Bruce Lee

Bon Posted January 20, 2002 Posted January 20, 2002 ::edit:: It takes sacrifice to be the best. There are always two choices, two paths to take. One is easy. And its only reward is that it's easy.
