fake jab --> reverse punch.

But that's what I like to use...sometimes there are better things to use, it really depends on the infinite number of factors that come up in a kumite match ;)

How about the knuckle busting board breaking punch :P

Let that serve as a lesson to everyone:

Don't punch your sensei in the stomach as hard as you can. Even if he asks you to... even if it's part of an on-stage demo and people are watching, even if it's to test his sanchin... and espechialy if someone is holding a board up against his stomach while you do it!

I use a series of techniques that form the basis of my 'trademark technique' I tend to throw a gyaka zuki low and then gyzami zuki high and this generally gets the person to rise their guard so I follow in with a mae washi geri to the lower torso... it's amazing how often it works...

I guess my trademark technique is a double-sidekick, sometimes triple!

Me and my sparringpartner were sparring once, and I gave him a sidekick(dolleyo) and he put his knee up fast, and put it back on the ground real fast, because he expected just one kick, so I kicked him again in the same position, I was surprised myself that it worked....
