Treebranch Posted January 31, 2005 Posted January 31, 2005 Define Ultimate. I don't think you would have enough time in your life to study the ultimate art if it did exist. AnonymousOne Posted January 31, 2005 Posted January 31, 2005 There is no such thing as an ultimate art, there are only motivated people. People makes arts, arts dont make people. Give me person who has trained in traditional karate for 2 arduous hours per day for 10 years and you have a lethal fighter. Give me a person that has only done one hour per week for a year in any art form and you wont see a lot of skill. Thats the edge, not the school or style 7th Dan ChidokaiA true combat warrior has to be hard as nails in mind, body and soul. Warriors are action takers and not action fakers. 1kickKO Posted January 31, 2005 Posted January 31, 2005 I would use kickboxing for the strong kicks/punches, muay thai for the use of elbows and knees, drunken kung fu to throw some flexibility, deceit, and balance (or in this case-off balance) in there, karate for a solid base and good power, Krav Maga for the weapon skills and down ot earth brutality if it comes down to it, aikido for hte locks, judo for the throws, and some form of jujitsu/wrestling for the grappling.
Treebranch Posted February 1, 2005 Posted February 1, 2005 The ultimate art won't create the ultimate fighter. There is no recipe for this stuff. "It is easier to find men who will volunteer to die, than to find those who are willing to endure pain with patience.""Lock em out or Knock em out"
Muaythaiboxer Posted February 4, 2005 Posted February 4, 2005 there is no ultimate art and there is no perfect fighter as an earlyer post stated being a good fighter comes down to how much you put in to training. in my opinion it 10% what style you take 40% the instrution you get and 50% how bad do you want to be good. street fighter Posted February 4, 2005 Posted February 4, 2005 Yeeee Haaaaa that is correct everyone can be beat by someone on any given day. There is no ultimate art just the one you are good at that will be your ulitmate. Survivor
Muaythaiboxer Posted February 4, 2005 Posted February 4, 2005 people always try to make the "ultimate art" but for some reason they always end up makeing something that for some odd reason wont work just look on the net for people claiming to have the ultimate art and chances are you wont even be able to find what style they studyed.
