Prodigy-Child Posted January 13, 2002 Share Posted January 13, 2002 the best thing to happen to the martial arts lately is people realizing the need for cross-training in a stand up and ground fighting style i remember back in the day when i was about 13 doing taekwon-do nobody ever did ANY cross training, we were strictly taekwon-do students and thats it. it was then when i realized that i should do some cross training. im 17 now and im glad i realized it then rather then now You can boo me if you want, You know I'm right!-Chris Rock Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Since the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, many martial arts studios report receiving calls from people who want to defend themselves in the event of an airline hijacking, including flight attendants and pilots. People want to protect themselves and conquer their fears ...more and more 'common' people are looking to the martial arts not only for physical fitness but also emotional wellness.
