Guest Posted November 24, 2004 Posted November 24, 2004 I wasn't sure where to put this thread but anyway. I'm in kickboxing and I'm going to be leading the class in the warmup and after that i have to take them through some combinations. The class ranges in skill. I just need some simple combinations that i can do with the class. If anyone has any ideas i would really appreciate it.
ncole_91 Posted November 25, 2004 Posted November 25, 2004 Well think of what you do for a warm up in class, then do the same.
RavenX Posted November 25, 2004 Posted November 25, 2004 I always love kickiboxing classes. There are some good ones. Just simple front kicks with 2 punches at a fast cardio pace is a GREAT way to have a good workout. Green Belt in Sullivans Kenpo Jujitsu Asst. Instructor
ninjanurse Posted November 25, 2004 Posted November 25, 2004 Jab-cross Jab-cross-hook Jab-cross-hook-uppercut Jab-jab-hook Jab-jab-hook-knee Jab-jab-hook-knee-elbow See a pattern here? Just add till you have a drill of 3-4 techniques...do each one 3-4 times...then move on. You'll find that this is much easier for beginners to handle and advanced students should be able to refine these basics as they warm up. Good luck! karatekid1975 Posted November 25, 2004 Posted November 25, 2004 I agree, ninjanurse. Our school does the above stuff as a warm-up. I think it's great, because I get warmed up, plus I get to work on combos at the same time Laurie F
