Shukokai is a style of Karate, correct?

I suggest a grappling art... My three favorite grappling styles are Judo, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Greco-Roman Wrestling, in no particular order...Judo for throws and straight groundwork, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for groundwork on your back as well as straight groundwork and a LOT of leg submissions, Greco-Roman Wrestling for takedowns, clinch control and some ground control.

There are a lot of other great styles out there, and remember, whether you choose a grappling style or not...the Instructor and quality of the school should be your first concern.

Good luck,

Yes, grappling is fun. For my grappling, I do Shorin Ryu karate...

So, what makes you want to "want a change"? Is it because you feel something is lacking? And if so, what specifically? Lastly, (since this isn't 20 questions...only more like, say, 4 questions), how long have you been training?

I'm going to move this over to the Getting Started in Martial Arts section.

Thanks for all the suggestions. Grappling sounds like a good choice, and yes, shukokai is a from of karate. :karate:
