Nick_UKWC Posted November 19, 2004 Posted November 19, 2004 Wing Chun! What kind of thing are you interested in? "...or maybe you are carrying a large vicious dog in your pocket." -Scottnshelly
DLopez Posted November 19, 2004 Posted November 19, 2004 There might be a Kuk Sool Won school near you... check out this listing of schools in the UK: Kuk Sool Won in UK DeanDahn Boh Nim - Black-Brown BeltKuk Sool Won"Dream as if you'll live forever. Live as if you'll die tomorrow." - James Dean
Mu Ryuk Posted November 19, 2004 Posted November 19, 2004 Shukokai is a style of Karate, correct? I suggest a grappling art... My three favorite grappling styles are Judo, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Greco-Roman Wrestling, in no particular order...Judo for throws and straight groundwork, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu for groundwork on your back as well as straight groundwork and a LOT of leg submissions, Greco-Roman Wrestling for takedowns, clinch control and some ground control. There are a lot of other great styles out there, and remember, whether you choose a grappling style or not...the Instructor and quality of the school should be your first concern. Good luck, Tang Soo! Passion transcends pain.
Shorin Ryuu Posted November 19, 2004 Posted November 19, 2004 Yes, grappling is fun. For my grappling, I do Shorin Ryu karate... So, what makes you want to "want a change"? Is it because you feel something is lacking? And if so, what specifically? Lastly, (since this isn't 20 questions...only more like, say, 4 questions), how long have you been training? Kreisi Posted November 29, 2004 Posted November 29, 2004 I think you should try grappling. atlest i have found it more intresting than striking arts, only my opinnion! What hurts you but doesn't kill you, makes you stronger.
