Goju 4 Life Posted December 18, 2004 Share Posted December 18, 2004 Judging is a problem in a lot of circuits. There was a really good article on the problems thaat plague sport karate. It included a section on the problems with judging. It pretty much comes down to money. If you want good judges pay them like other sports. But, unlike other sports you need 3-5 judges for ONE ring ALL DAY. And each ring only can play two players at one time. Where in other sports such as baseball(3 umpires for 18 players, soccer(4 officials for 22 players),; these sports need less judges, and people will pay tos ee them, and can see them in stadiums. Both not very likely at this time on a large scale for sport martial arts. If i had to choose between karate and everything else, I would choose karate so i could beat up whoever made me make the decision and have everything else Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
