Jack Posted January 9, 2002 Posted January 9, 2002 I was rewatching the untimable classic Enter The Dragon again yesterday, and towards the beginning Bruce Lee is telling a boy to kick him. Along with the famous quote "Don't think, feel" he also says "I said emotional content, not anger". I thought about this for a while, and I was unsure as to the meaning of this. Maybe thats what I did wrong, by thinking about it, but I was just wondering what do you guys suspect he means through emotional content, and feeling not thinking? CTpizzaboy Posted January 9, 2002 Posted January 9, 2002 Those are not his words, they are lines from a script.... in a movie....with bad actors. Canh T.I often quote myself. It adds spice to my conversations.
Jack Posted January 9, 2002 Author Posted January 9, 2002 Yes, but we all love kung fu movies with their voiceovers Bruce Lee had a lot of personal input to the script however, I havn't read the Tao of Jeet Kune Do or anything, but perhaps he was trying to put another of his own teachings into a movie? It wouldn't be the first time. JackCurrently 'off' from formal MA trainingKarateForums.com

SaiFightsMS Posted January 9, 2002 Posted January 9, 2002 There are different ways to feel. There are emotions - feelings. There is also feeling - perceiving. Many blind people feel when they are getting close to a wall. There are other ways to feel too. But I got woke up too early to think straight. Maybe someone else can explain what I mean a little more clearly?
