KENPOJOE Posted December 27, 2004 Posted December 27, 2004 Anyone here practice or even heard of the Chinese two handed sword known as Miao Dao??HI FOLKS! I have studied Miao Dao (Grain Leaf Saber) when I studied Wu Tang under sifu Edward Jata,8th chosen disciple of Sifu Jason Tsou at SMU (southeastern massachusetts university -now UMass Dartmouth). The main style that uses Miao Dao is Pi Kua, however, other styles do use the Miao Dao. There was a wonderful article written on Miao Dao in 1985 in Inside Kung Fu on the use of the Miao Dao. If you are from Canada and do ba ji, Do you study with John Hum or Jimmy Guo? I still teach the wu tang tradition and offer Praying Mantis [eight step, six hermony and seven star] as well as Tai Chi. I did do the yin fu ba gua as well as the ba chi/ba ji. Please look up my kung fu website at http://members.aol.com/LUNGSIGUNG/ I HOPE THAT i WAS OF SOME SERVICE, KENPOJOE The Truth, No matter who it hurts, is still the truth!
