Ever heard of this guy?

Would I spend 1000 on a black belt? Not the belt alone, but yeah.. I'm spending thousands over the term of my training just to get there because of monthly fees.

The game of chess is much like a swordfight; you must think before you move.

Yeah, I spend about 240 dollars a month on gas just driving to class, so I know how you feel... The dues are actually only 20 dollars a month...

There is an article about him in this months "Black Belt" magazine. In the first few paragraphs the author basically says that he made this whole art up on his own with some assistance from his uncle and father. From what I saw in the mag it was a ripoff of basic kenpo techniques. The guy is total bull and should be avoided like the plague.

A Black Belt is just a white belt that don't know when to quit!

I just find this kind of crap rather entertaining. Why is there always someone who must devise their "own" style. Some people are never content with whatever is around and so must slap a new name on a previous style and say they created it.

The greatest clarity is profound silence.

It looks like a complete crap.

I don't believe in learning things out of a regular class then if you think you can buy let's say 10 MA DVDs for about 300$ and a Black Belt for 5$ you have an idea also of the actual value of the things you are buying.

I would have to agree
