MuayTB1 Posted January 6, 2002 Posted January 6, 2002 "Don't think! Feel" by Bruce Le Do you agree with that. "Don't think!! Feel..." -Bruce Leehttps://www.muaythaiboxing.friendpages.comThis site is dumb but I made it so it is good.
kicker Posted January 7, 2002 Posted January 7, 2002 well Not really I think more often then I feel. But maybe sometimes in certain times I agree with that when you do your best it`s going to show. "If you watch the pros, You will learn something new"
MuayTB1 Posted January 7, 2002 Author Posted January 7, 2002 But in a fight, there is no time to think "Don't think!! Feel..." -Bruce Leehttps://www.muaythaiboxing.friendpages.comThis site is dumb but I made it so it is good.
Jiggy9 Posted January 7, 2002 Posted January 7, 2002 I do agree... In a fight I dont think about what Im doing, it's just very instinctive and natural. Shotokan Karate Black Belt ==Defend the path of Truth==
KickChick Posted January 7, 2002 Posted January 7, 2002 I think that is my problem. I think too much . Feel more and think less? Why can't I do both?
Jack Posted January 7, 2002 Posted January 7, 2002 I agree Imagine, if you are confronted on the street and it turns into a fight, you will not have to time to consciously think out your actions. If you try to, you will not be able to keep up and adapt to the situation and you'll be easily defeated. However, if you feel then you can quickly adapt and react instinctively. However, one who does the martial arts has already done the thinking by training, he/she has learnt the moves, and althought at first they seemed difficult, they do become second nature. So as you "feel" this street situation, you instinctively used what you have previously used. Would you all agree? JackCurrently 'off' from formal MA trainingKarateForums.com
MuayTB1 Posted January 7, 2002 Author Posted January 7, 2002 Thats why we train. So it comes out with out thinking. "Don't think!! Feel..." -Bruce Leehttps://www.muaythaiboxing.friendpages.comThis site is dumb but I made it so it is good.
Jiggy9 Posted January 8, 2002 Posted January 8, 2002 Yup, if we never bothered training and someone tried to punch us, we wouldnt think about how to best to stop the punch, we'd just put our hands infront of our face and move outta the way. After some training, when somone tries to punch you, you think about applying youre technique effectively. Some more training, and youre back to where you started. You dont think about blocking the punch using so and so technique, you just do it. [ This Message was edited by: Jiggy9 on 2002-01-08 06:09 ] Shotokan Karate Black Belt ==Defend the path of Truth==
