battousai16 Posted November 9, 2004 Posted November 9, 2004 ah, see, there's the trouble. anime is ridiculously expensive; i've always gotten mine from other people, with one or two exceptions. i've spent more than anyone probably should, and i only have one or two dvds. i mean, $25 a pop... geez. at any rate, VCDs seem to be the answer, but they don't play on all dvd players. Ottman Posted November 9, 2004 Posted November 9, 2004 Cowboy Bee Bop. I know, it's a suprise, but there's some good fight scenes and the animation and story are great. (Haven't seen much of the TV show, but I hear it's just as good.) Tae Kwon Do - 3rd Dan, InstructorBrazilian Ju Jitsu - Purple Belt, Level 1 Instructor
Jbone1 Posted November 16, 2004 Author Posted November 16, 2004 Yea I seen Cowboy Beebop, excellent fighting breaking down the moves in a cartoon. I got my first one today for a good price off Ebay. Crying Freeman vol.1, I'm wanting to get the next two. If anyone got some good ones they are willing to get rid of for a decent price let me know. Wasaby Posted December 29, 2004 Posted December 29, 2004 Does anybody know where I can purchase some used ones? Ebay has some but they are expensive for a DVD.Yes Naruto is quite good, I've only seen a scattering of eps, plus isnt Ebay where you go to get stuff real cheap? It isn't sold licensed and translated in N.A. so the only way to get it is off fansites or Ebay. Son Goku the monkeyking Posted December 29, 2004 Posted December 29, 2004 I I always have liked the tenchi muyo show, it is mostly about comedy there are some good parts in it abouyt fighting especially in tenchi in tokyo and tenchi universe most of the episodes have fighting in those two seiries. Fist of the north star is still fist of the north star and is a very good fighting anime dispite it's age . Full metal alchamist just came and they also have good fighting seens. But if you whant to find the best anime try going to a convention, we are having ohiocon up here in January. P.S. dose anyone know where I can get the naruto head band with the leaf on it besides E- bay, I am going to the convetion as Kakishi from Naruto to and that is all I am missing. HOLLA

Grenadier Posted January 11, 2005 Posted January 11, 2005 Although it's more of a sword swinging flick, "Ninja Scroll" seems to be one of the most popular fighting ones. The animation is superb, even though it was done without the benefits of CGI. The big boss at the end, fights unarmed, and puts on an impressive display of martial arts, beating the crap out of the hero, but the hero still fights on, even resorting to unorthodox unarmed combative techiques, such as repeatedly head butting the bad guy on the bridge of the nose until the skull collapses. That has to be one of the best anime duels I've seen.
Jbone1 Posted January 14, 2005 Author Posted January 14, 2005 Well I am getting vol. 3 of Crying Freeman which was a decent Anime. Old style animation but a different flick. Ninja Scroll is next. How many are in that series? "What's your style?""My style?""You can call it the art of fighting without fighting."
