Sridhar Posted November 1, 2004 Posted November 1, 2004 Please tell me the way to break the tiles in punch shito mae geri (front kick) Yoko sokuto geri (side kick) Fork particularily in fork technique pls help me also suggest for conditioning the forearms and wrist
AngelaG Posted November 1, 2004 Posted November 1, 2004 If you are breaking it is important to punch through the object. If you just strike the surface you will end up hurting yourself, aim to punch about a foot the other side of it. The trick is to be brave and not pull out of the technique or you will hit the surface. This is true of all the techniques (although I have no idea of what a fork is other than an eating utensil). Karate-addict Posted November 1, 2004 Posted November 1, 2004 also suggest for conditioning the forearms and wristFor forearms: we do kote-ki-tae (hitting the forearm with shuto-uchi). For the wrist I do push-ups on my fists. But the best way to condition both, in my opinion, is to use makiwara. hara wo neru
longarm25 Posted November 1, 2004 Posted November 1, 2004 use the makiwara or some type of iron palm to prepare your hands (under instuctor supervision) PhilRyu Kyu Christian Karate Federation"Do not be dependent on others for your improvement. ShotokanKid Posted November 17, 2004 Posted November 17, 2004 LIke longarm25 says, use the makiwara. It will increase speed and power "What we do in life, echoes in eternity.""We must all fear evil men.
