cross Posted October 30, 2004 Posted October 30, 2004 How long will it take me to be s above average student in martial arts usually They say in muay thai you should be pretty good after around 6 months training. But its all relative to how often and how hard you train.
Tsubasa Posted October 30, 2004 Author Posted October 30, 2004 hello i live in south florida , palm beach. 6 months seems good, but will i be really good student in about 1-2 year period ?
Beiner Posted October 30, 2004 Posted October 30, 2004 What is a good student, one who learns the material well, one who has basic knowledge of the art ect. I say being a good student is how much you put intio the class.
ncole_91 Posted October 30, 2004 Posted October 30, 2004 The more you try, the more results you will get. If you train 1 hour a week, it will take a while, but if you train 3-4 hours a week, it won't take as long to learn.
Tsubasa Posted November 6, 2004 Author Posted November 6, 2004 does anyone know how much the muay thai styling lessons costs per month ? also what other styles do you guys think is really good for combative fighting Cheers
ncole_91 Posted November 6, 2004 Posted November 6, 2004 You haev ot go check your dojo for prices, they all range, if you would like to learn muay thai, then go for it.
Tsubasa Posted November 7, 2004 Author Posted November 7, 2004 is Shotokan good style of combative fighting as well ? also my cousin is 9 going to taec kwon do, and his father keep telling me that he needs 5 more years to go for black belt and he is taking 5 hours a week lessons , i dont believe this . He is on green belt already, and for black belt i believe he needs 3 more belts for black and that would take him prob 1-2 year period. Or is it true 5-6 years ??? cheers
