Kensho-Ryu Posted March 20, 2006 Posted March 20, 2006 I'm new here. I study Kensho-Ryu. It takes infuences for Shotokan and Kenpo. “Pain is only weakness leaving your body”
Red J Posted March 20, 2006 Author Posted March 20, 2006 Interesting.Welcome to KF. I had to lose my mind to come to my senses.
DBK Posted March 20, 2006 Posted March 20, 2006 Looks like I'm about two years late, but my lineage is Parker/Sullivan/Nowicki/Me. Have any of you guys aside from Mr. Mike ever been to any of the West Coast Kenpo Confederations? They're pretty awesome.
Red J Posted March 21, 2006 Author Posted March 21, 2006 Welcome. It's never too late to talk kenpo! I had to lose my mind to come to my senses.
Kensho-Ryu Posted March 22, 2006 Posted March 22, 2006 Rock on! What are your favorite aspects of our art? “Pain is only weakness leaving your body”
parkerlineage Posted March 23, 2006 Posted March 23, 2006 I love how we all roll out on the Kenpo/Kempo roll call, and none of us do the same style. It's hilarious. We really need a forum section of our own, don't you think? American Kenpo Karate- First Degree Black Belt"He who hesitates, meditates in a horizontal position."Ed Parker
Kajukenbopr Posted March 24, 2006 Posted March 24, 2006 huh, maybe not enough people to get our own section? <> Be humble, train hard, fight dirty
parkerlineage Posted March 25, 2006 Posted March 25, 2006 Not enough consistent response, eh? American Kenpo Karate- First Degree Black Belt"He who hesitates, meditates in a horizontal position."Ed Parker
Red J Posted March 25, 2006 Author Posted March 25, 2006 Exactly. Dig up some of our old threads in the Karate section: They always start with Kempo or Kenpo or both in the topic. There are some good discussions that are worth visiting. One day, we'll have our own section. Hey, they gave Testing and Grading a section. I think we could do over 27 threads.I used to bug Patrick. He would have to see more of the love being shown. So dig up those posts and contribute! Start a few new ones. Rally the troops! I had to lose my mind to come to my senses.
parkerlineage Posted March 26, 2006 Posted March 26, 2006 I honestly think there are like...zero...Parker American Kenpo people here. I've only been able to use my acutal knowledge once, and it was to somebody who was in a different style that learned our forms from video tape. So, tell me about Shaolin Kempo. You and I can at least discuss the similarities and differences of our arts, eh? American Kenpo Karate- First Degree Black Belt"He who hesitates, meditates in a horizontal position."Ed Parker
