I am glad I have found such a civilized forum!!! I am 33 and have been training in Shotokan Karate for 1 1/2-2yrs. I started out with my son. He quit. I stayed. I guess Im geting senile in my old age...pain is joy!!!!

 

Pains!!!

 

Strains!!!

 

Sprains!!!

 

Broken bones!!!

 

I love it!!!! :brow:

Pain is only temporary, the memory of that pain lasts a lifetime.

Thanks for the intro shotochem! You're gonna feel right at home here ... there are quite a few of us here that feel as you do regarding their training. Actually I too started out with my son just about 10 years ago ... same thing - he quit and I stayed!

 

Old age??? You're still young hun! :brow: WAIT!!! talk about pains, strains, etc...... You've only just begun!

Hi Shotochem and welcome! 32 yrs old here...started 2 1/2 yrs ago with my daughter who's 5...she's still going though!!

Almost 40 here and only started bout 6 months ago, but already hooked. Tried to get my son(15) in on the action but he don't like all the practicing.
