dear john Posted October 24, 2004 Author Posted October 24, 2004 you know, ill toss my 2 cents in and say this- styles dont define the fighter, . you know ] STOP SAYING THAT! you should really know that EVERYONE KNOWS THAT, but some styles i do think are better than others given the right person and the right skill, smarts, mind set whatever. HEY WHAT ABOUT BOXING, its a martial art, you put any world class boxer in a ring with a world class full contact NHB competitor and who do you think will win. im gonna add my two cents in and say that some and a limited few i might add are not very good MA's the funny thing is that i know im wrong and i know your right, yet you keep argueing like it will change my mind. you should really know, you dont have to be right to win:)
P.A.L Posted October 24, 2004 Posted October 24, 2004 dear john :"im gonna add my two cents in and say that some and a limited few i might add are not very good MA's" Off the record, yes.
Rich67 Posted October 24, 2004 Posted October 24, 2004 and, by the way, chuck norris is no actor, but he could kick all our *.You can say that again....he has gotta be one of the worst actors out there...lol Especially his old stuff...blech! Mixed Martial Artist
ps1 Posted November 16, 2004 Posted November 16, 2004 I have had the honor of sparring (standing only) with some of his affiliate schools (ufaf) students. All the black belts were more than capable and were very respectful. I'm not the best sparrer (point fighting) ever, but I'm not bad. I say they're on par with the better schools I've seen. ps All of their black belts MUST test in front of Mr Norris. "It is impossible to make anything foolproof because fools are so ingenius."
47MartialMan Posted November 22, 2004 Posted November 22, 2004 YOU GUYS ARE TOO DAMN POLITICALLY CORRECT. fine, ill rewaord my question. IS THE SYSTEM COMPLETE? as in throws grappling kicks punchs the works are does it focus on kicking or something. ask a simple question and get weak answers, wont anyone stand up for there MA? Why shouldnt it be? He was studying amongst Asians, whom at the time, were probably "harder" on occidentals. Thus it will be complete in accordance of whatever has to be done, with hard work.
Nick_UKWC Posted November 22, 2004 Posted November 22, 2004 Thus it will be complete in accordance of whatever has to be done, with hard work. That doesn't make much sense to me. Are you saying what Norris knows whatever he was taught assuming he worked hard? a little obvious? I'm going to assume I missed your point. ninjanurse Posted November 22, 2004 Posted November 22, 2004 I got my start in the martial arts under Chuck Norris and the UFAF. It is what ignited the passion I still have today. It wasn't as much about the style as it was about the people and the philosophy.
