I was wondering if anyone here at this forum was studying Jeet Kune Do.

If that be the case, then I would like to know if it looks like the way Bruce Lee did it, You know, the way his jumping around? Or is it more like a brutal streetfighting way of fighting? Ive Been dabling in the art myself. But its only by reading Bruce Lees books. I cant find any teacher here in little Denmark.

When you find an instructor of jkd they will probably teach you some techniques and the concepts behind them. Then you make what you want of them and add or take techniques away.

So basically it can look however you want it to look but there are still principles and so on which are followed. But its more like streetfighting than "jumping around".

Hope that answers a little more clearly.

you don't jump around in jkd.

if you're talking about bruce lee doing jkd by jumping around, then you've not seen him doing jkd....

See "Enter the Dragon" and "Way og the Dragon". And read his book "Tao of Jeet Kune Do" and you will change you mind. As I said. his book tells you to move around freely and easy without doing it as hard word. So its not like Kickboxing, but more like small tripping. I have heard the name Jun Fan Jeet Kune DO. So maybe Its because you arent practicing his way. Not to correct you or anything, just a thought.

they are films.

they are not real.

i have never known a jkd guy that jumps around.

they tend to be pretty much like any other guy from any other style.

moving freely does not mean jumping around.

move when you need to.

don't move when you don't need to.
